Centralized Air Conditioning

Central air conditioning (or central A/C) is a system that is very common nowadays in Shopping malls, Offices and even in banks. It cools air at a central location and distributes through ductworks and fans. The whole process of air conditioning is possible for the work of the air conditioner compressor. The cool air is created as the compression of the refrigerant gas discharges heat out of the house.

Types of Centralized Air Conditioning

Two main types of central air conditioners: a split system or a packaged unit.

  1. Split system central air conditioner: 

split system central air conditioner comprises of an outdoor metal cabinet and an indoor cabinet. The condenser and compressor present in the outdoor cabinet and the indoor cabinet contain the evaporator, in some of the model, furnace or an air handler are also present in the indoor cabinet.

  • Packaged central air conditioner: 

The evaporator, condenser, and compressor are all located in one cabinet, and it often comes with electric heating coils or a natural gas furnace. The need for a separate furnace indoors eliminates due to this combination of air conditioner and central heater. A packaged air conditioner is usually located outdoors and Air supply and return ducts are placed in the indoors connected to the cabinet outside.
